Take the path of least resistance

"The path of LEAST resistance will often take you farther from your destination than the seemingly more difficult one."
~Timber Hawkeye

When you encounter a difficult situation, why do you resist the present moment? Resistance will only bring you mental suffering. Acceptance of the fact allows you to put more energy into productive activities that can help take you out of difficult situations.

  1. Though in some cases, I found taking the path of more resistance was pretty rewarding :)

  2. Yes I do agree that more challenging scenarios can be more rewarding in terms of growth. In this case, though, I am referring to the mental acceptance, ie. not mental resisting of what is. Accept the difficult situation, and you will have a clear mind to do what is required without stress! =)

"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference."
